Bio

I am a third-year CS Ph.D. student at Georgia Institute of Technology, advised by Dr. Munmun De Choudhury in the Social Dynamics and Wellbeing (SocWeB) Lab. Broadly, my research interests are in Human-AI Interaction, Responsible AI, and Natural Language Processing. I audit generative AI–powered applications/models to identify and mitigate information (e.g., dissemination of stigma or biases) and interaction risks (e.g., behavioral impacts). My objective is to contribute tools, frameworks, and policies to build safe and responsible online, AI-infused information ecosystems, particularly for underrepresented communities and in high-stakes domains such as healthcare.

I am honored to be supported by the Quad Fellowship. Previously, I was a research intern with the FATE group at Microsoft Research, collaborating with Dr. Q. Vera Liao and Dr. Su Lin Blodgett.

Prior to starting my Ph.D., my work with Dr. Munmun De Choudhury uncovered the stigmatization of marginalized communities, such as survivors of gender-based violence or those with a mental health disorder, in mass communication and social media. I also interned at Adobe Research with Kanak Mahadik, Ryan Rossi, and Sungchul Kim, where I worked on automating GPU instance recommendation for deep learning training workloads.
